Many diseases share the same initial symptoms. Usually though, there are also unique signs that come up that can immediately point to a specific disease. This is not the case for the lymphoma cancer symptoms. In fact, this cancer of the lymph nodes is notorious for having hardly any indicator at all. Rather, it will show itself through garden-variety ailments that can mean dozens of other illnesses.
Since this affects the lymphatic system, the first of the lymphoma cancer symptoms to show up is usually swollen lymph glands. The small masses, usually the size of beans, grow around the underarm, neck and/or groin areas. The lack of pain or discomfort can lead to them remaining undetected for a good while. Another symptom is sudden weight loss. This becomes noticeably more serious and indicative of lymphoma when it is a matter of approximately 10% of the natural body weight disappearing within a few short months and with no cause like a change in health regime. Of course, there is a pair of symptoms that are far less common than the few already named. Night sweats, or tremendous sweating during sleep, is not specific to just this cancer but it is a fairly rare development.On the other hand, extreme itchiness starting up all over the body, caused by the lymph nodes starting to fail, is the nearest thing to a lymphoma specific symptom there is.

With the exception of a few special conditions that do not come up in every case such as anemia and an enlarged stomach, the coming together of these diverse ailments point clearly towards lymph node cancer.
It is important to remember that self-diagnosing is not enough. Even with an extensive knowledge of lymphoma and all its warning signs, ergo easily concluding the presence of cancer through personal evaluation, professional medical attention should still be sought. Serious cases such as cancer require a battery of tests in order to confirm, and considering how common the lymphoma cancer symptoms are, there is always the chance that its all just a coincidence.
